Piranha aquarium designed for testing mobile phone covers durability in

As part of Channel 5’s popular Gadget Show Series 15, Aquarium Architecture were asked to create an Amazonian piranha aquarium for the presenters to test mobile phone covers durability in.

After installing the new bespoke aquarium along withe oak cabinet, the guys installed 30 hungry red belly piranhas to prepare for the test. Thanks very much to Channel 5 and North One TV for inviting us on the show, and we very much look forward to working with them again.

Aquarium Architecture are specialist in custom made aquariums and have been working on amazing aquariums hosting jellyfish, sharks, piranhas and other aquatic creatures. If you have something in mind you can contact us and talk about the tanks’s feasibility. We try to make all our client’s dreams become reality and create a striking breathing aquarium.

If you are interested in having a piranha aquarium here are some things that you should consider before going ahead with the design. Red Belly Piranha are the most common piranha species in the UK. As a general rule, red belly piranha should be kept in groups of minimum 4 individuals. In this way, the fish will settle easier into aquarium life.

The piranha aquarium is recommended to be as large as possible. This helps the fish to behave and grow naturally. Piranha fish tend to grow quickly and they are quite active and messy fish. They require aquarium maintenance one a week.

As fish are carnivore, the red belly piranha are most likely to be fed meaty / fishy foods. Any uneaten food must be removed from the aquarium immediately after the fish finished eating so that the water doesn’t get polluted.

If this sounds like something that is not a big challenge for you, and you wish to know more information about getting a custom made aquarium or having a red belly piranha aquarium get in touch with us.
