London Aquarium Maintenance Q&A

  • London Aquarium Maintenance Q&A

    August 2015

    • What areas do you service in London?

Our London Aquarium Maintenance covers all of Central London and beyond. We have a lot of clients in Fulham, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Battersea, The City, Hampstead, Belsize Park, Highgate, Notting Hill and Holland Park.

    • How long does it take to clean the fish tank?

The length of an aquarium maintenance really depends on the size and scale of the project. Therefore, we price our works on an hourly basis at the start to ensure our clients have a fixed priced maintenance option going forward.

    • What does the London aquarium maintenance service includes?

A typical visit involves a glass and gravel clean, full deep clean of the filters, a water change and additives put into the system. We also check all the water parameters. Furthermore, post visit we provide a written report which is emailed to the client for their records.

    • How much does it cost?

Our London aquarium maintenance costs £50 exc vat per hour. Upon first seeing the aquarium, we will be able to tell them exactly how long it will take per visit to clean.

    • How much experience does the maintenance staff has?

We have a rule at Aquarium Architecture – we do not employ any member of staff who does not have a genuine love and interest in aquariums. We have found over the years that staff who truly love the product they are dealing in make the best employees, and suppliers to our customers.

Any engineer we employ goes through a rigorous training programme for 3 months before they go on the road by themselves. In addition, they must have at least 12 months working experience in aquatics elsewhere and crucially, own an aquarium at home. Hence, no aquarium at home equals no job at Aquarium Architecture!

    • Do you do emergency maintenance service?

All of our clients benefit from a 24/7 emergency cover maintenance service. We have at least three engineers on-call at any one time, including the holiday periods. It is one of the key things that stands us apart from any of the competition in the market.

    • How quick do you answer to an emergency aquarium maintenance?

We guarantee to be onsite within 2 hours of the call, and on the phone within 10 minutes. No matter how small or big the issue, we are always there to assist. This also includes new or perspective clients unhappy with their current maintenance providers.
